On-Site Fabrication
The components of the ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ machine and plant—the large and the small—have been manufactured in the factories of the ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ Members and shipped to the ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ site ... except in two cases, where the components were simply too large to be transported. The largest poloidal field coils, measuring 17 to 24 metres in diameter, and the ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ cryostat sub-sections, measuring 30 metres in diameter, were produced in dedicated facilities on the ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ platform.
